ENTRYDEADLINE WAS FEBRUARY 28TH!!!

Team routinelists must be sent via email or mail with:

TeamName/Song, Ability Level, Style/Category of routine, Average Age,Stage or Gym preference, Length of Routine and # of Dancers foreach routine.

Tap/Clogging

Somecategories may be combined according to the amount of entriesreceived in each style.

Ability: Teams are divided by ability levels in Beginning,Intermediate & Advanced. Please be fair and honest inselecting the ability level of each team.

Beginning -Basic turns up to single pirouettes - 1 to 2 years training -please be sure they are truly beginning dancers.
Intermediate- turns up to a double pirouette - attempting fouettes - 2 to 4years training - basic leaps.
Advanced -continous fouettes, triple pirouettes or more - 5 or more years oftraining - switch leaps and other advanced leaps.

Age: Teams are divided by age levels. Please calculate theaverage age of each routine!

Size: Teams are divided by size. A team consists of 5 or moredancers. Solos, Duets, Trios and Quads compete usually onFriday (see solo entry).

Divisions: All divisions are kept small. There will never be morethan 4 to 5 routines in one division. The average is 3routines per division.

Music: All music must be recorded on a quality CD. Only ONEsong per CD, labled and checked into the sound table at the time ofcheck-in. PLEASE HAVE BACK UP MUSIC WITH YOU!!

RegistrationFees: Team fees are $14 per dancer/per dance. Late entries(by permission only) are $15 per dancer/per dance. You canregister online at www.dancelink.net or by mail.

Entry Deadlinewas February 28th for ALLcompetitions! All late entries accepted will be $15 perdancer/per dance. No refunds or credits will be given. Please register on time or early if possible. We willonly accept a certain number of routines at each competition toavoid making the competitions a marathon. Please let me knowASAP which competitions you will be attending and approximately howmany routines you will be competing.

DanceLink andUtah Dance Championships host family oriented events. Costumes, choreography and music must be appropriate for allaudiences.

Finalcompetititon information will be sent via email and posted onlineapproximately ten days prior to each event date at www.DanceLink.net

Categories maybe combined with a similar style category to maitain enough tocompete. This also applies to Duets, Trios and Quads for 2, 3 &4 dancers.

Divisions:There are divisions for ages pre-school through college age. Ifthere are less than 3 contestants they will be combined withanother division. Any division with 6 or more will be divided.

The BeginningDivision is for dancer who have never won a competition and areconsidered beginning dancers (usually 2 years or lesstraining)
TheIntermediate Division is for dancers that have won a competition inthe beginning division and are considered intermediate dancers(usually 2 to 4 years training)
The AdvancedDivsion is for dancers who have won a competition in theintermediate division (or more than once) and are consideredadvanced dancers (usually 4 or more years training)

Divisions aredetermined by the information you provide. Please be honest andcorrect with this information. Dancers entering the wrong divisioncould be disqualified. Check with your teacher or choreographer ifyou are unsure what division to enter.

Order ofPerformance will be determined by the date of entry. The FIRSTentry received will perform LAST is their division. The LAST entryreceived will perform FIRST in their division. This is determinedby the date and time you register online or by the postmark on yourentry.

Awards:Winners receive a large two column trophy, a gift and a tiara.Attendants receive a large single colum trophy. All contestantswill place and receive a trophy at all competitions. An OverallWinner will be awarded by each set of Judges for and Overall Winnerin each lane.
